Would you take blood money if offered?
One aspect I hardly hear spoken about when it comes to murder is how profitable murder has become. We don’t usually call abortion murder, but let us be honest, what else is it? Abortion is just a nice word to make it more palatable to our senses. Look at the definition of the word.
Abortion: “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy:”
Now look at the definition of murder;
Murder: “the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another”
Both are are the intentional, premeditated killing of life. So why are abortions done? Because, the love of money is the root of all evil. Abortion is close to a billion dollar industry. Regardless of how you feel about the morality of abortions, let's look at it from the perspective of the clinics that perform them. Why do they do them?
There is no way the person performing these medical abortions do not know it is human life inside the womb. If you destroy a building under construction, would you get in trouble? Yes, you would. Why? Because, even if it was not complete, it has value. Human life has value the moment there is potential for a full blown baby.
Back to the doctors. Abortion is a relatively quick procedure and very profitable. Read this quote:
“The Women’s Medical Center estimates that a 2nd trimester abortion costs up to $3000 (with the price increasing the further along the pregnancy goes.) If we take the $413 average for 1st trimester abortions and use a $3000 average for 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions, here’s what we get: $438 million is spent each year on first trimester abortions and $393 million is spent on late term abortions. That means that each year in the U.S., the abortion industry brings in approximately $831 million through their abortion services alone.” Source of quote.
In other words it is blood money. Close to a billion dollar industry for the intentional killing of babies—babies who will never get a chance to vote on the topic of abortion. At the time of the abortion women who are assured it is only “fetal tissue,” often years later awaken to terribly regret their decision and lifetime loss of a precious child. Nevertheless, clinics do it because it is profitable, and murder is acceptable in this form. Money is probably the biggest factor in the decision to perform abortions.
However, if you have had an abortion there is forgiveness in God. Plenty of murderers in the Bible have been forgiven. People like David, Paul, and Moses. Let us find forgiveness in God. Let us weep at our sins and find rest in His grace.
May God have mercy on those doctors who accept blood money.
